A Quick Trip to Boston

Levenger shopping bagThe Lovely Bride TM and I went down to Boston on Sunday to visit the NE Food Expo (you can read about the expo here) and make a trip to one of my favorite stores, Levenger. I picked up a few things that I needed, notepaper and Circa rings for a new notebook. Levenger is one of my favorite sources because the quality of the paper is so consistently high.

The Lovely Bride TM loves to get the shopping bags. They do make a great tote or gift-bag.

The paper is what Levenger calls “Freeleaf”, letter-sized loose sheets in 5 colors: blue, yellow, cream, green and gray. This 60-lb paper is firm & smooth for writing and the Cornell-style rule makes for an easy way to take notes, organize meta-data, and retrieve information.

I also picked up some of the 1″ diameter Circa rings to make a new notebook, and expand a notebook that I am currently using. These are also going to be used for a secret project that I am going to be doing at SOBCon this year (stay tuned for more on that).

I needed the larger rings for my Projects notebook, so that I could put some blank sheets and forms in it and add some more divider tabs.

Ah Stephen, you went to a Levenger STORE! That must be so much better than shopping online – a feast for the senses!! LOL

I’ve been a Levenger fan for many years now. My desk is littered with Levenger, whether it be paper, Circa products pens/pencils, cases, or notebooks. I’ve even gotten my boss hooked on Levenger, especially the Circa products and their paper.

Yes, it is more expensive but it definitly worth the price, especially their paper and the Circa products. I haven’t found anything better.

  2. Im jealous that you got to go to one of the stores. I live too far from any of them, which is probably a good thing for my savings account.

I agree with you on the Levenger paper, consistent and high quality, I use it as my every day note paper for work and usually use a fountain pen.

I’ve also started archiving old documents in a Circa notebook, so those larger rings come in handy, I assume you have one of the punches too?

Good luck on the “secret project” and thanks for sharing!
