Desk Caddy for Index Cards
I just picked up a couple of bamboo caddies to store index cards on my desk. I use index cards for all sorts of note-taking and for organizing my thoughts.
I carry a Circa “PDA” (in the left-hand caddy) with me all the time, for capturing ideas, contact info, directions, all sorts of stuff. This caddy is filled with pre-punched cards and also the “archive” of used cards. You never know when you might need to refer back.
I also really like the flexibility of the medium. You can use them for creating mindmaps, flowcharts of processes, sitemaps for web design, all sorts of things. Did you see the group sketchnote project?
Do you use index cards? What for?If not, why not – and what do you use for these activities?
Please share in the comments (link to pics too!).

Hi Stephen,
I’m also intensively using index card for note taking, drawing, planning stuff but I haven’t find yet a good caddy to hold them.
Stephen, I have decided to go to an index card system to replace all of my sticky notes and pieces of scratch paper. I use a smaller verions of the Circa PDA that I carry in my pocket for taking notes, or for passing on information to other people. It works well. I am still trying to decide exactly how I want to retain my info until I am ready to archive or destroy but may just use good old Circa rings, since all of the cards I am using are prepunched and I can move the stack wherever I need it. Still, your desk caddies look very nice!
